Basketball information

The ball sport and team sport basketball usually takes place in the hall, where two teams score ball throws in the opponent's basket. The basketball team consists of five field players and seven substitute players. In Germany, the national associations of basketball clubs belong to the German Basketball Federation (DBB). The World Basketball Federation (FIBA) was founded in 1932.

In Germany, DBB Cup, Bundesliga and German Championships are well-known national basketball tournaments.

Basketball services

Well-known basketball teams are ALBA Berlin, Tusa Dusseldorf, Post SV Hannover, MTV Wolfenbüttel, FC Bayern Munich, GW Frankfurt and TV 46 Heidelberg.

Most of the championship titles were won by TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen, USC Heidelberg, Brose Bamberg and Alba Berlin.
